Art Class - Working with photos

I taught my regular Art Class at Southlands and the class was based on perspective.
Thanks to the 8 people who came along. It was nice to have such positive feedback and I really enjoyed teaching class. You all produced some beautiful work.
Before the class I prepared some paintings and gathered some pictures together for you all to work from...

 

Autumn Exhibition 2013

I handed my paintings to Southlands Art Centre yesterday.  I will be exhibiting at Southlands from Saturday 5th September 11am then 2pm till 6pm every day until 19th October. You are welcome to come along and see the Paintings, Pottery, Wood-turning and Craftwork.

Southlands Art Centre has lots of grounds and they are open to the public, so as well as viewing the arts and crafts you can take a walk in the surrounding area. I hope you enjoy the exhibition.

Medieval Festival 2013

The last place we exhibited was at the Medieval Festival in Ruislip. It was a fun day and nice to see the community getting together. There was one sale on this exhibit, thanks to the person who bought this painting. Also thanks to all those who came along on the day to have a look at the art work.

New Exhibitions in the Pipeline...

Just a little update to let you all know where I will be exhibiting in 2012.

From the 17th to the 21st of April I will be exhibiting at the 'United Society of Artists' in London. The opening hours are Tues, Wed & Sat  from 11am till 6pm & Friday 11am till 8pm. Entrance is FREE.

From the 6th May to 19th May I will be exhibiting at the ' Hertford Art Society 60th Annual Open Exhibition'. I am now selecting the paintings for this exhibition.

Classes for 2012
I am holding my next art classes on Thursday 29th March at Southlands.
The Pinner classes are also going really well and the next ones will be Tues 20th March from 10am till 1pm and Tuesday 17th April from 10am till 1pm.

I now have regular classes at Little Willows in Pinner and they are held on Tuesdays.
The Southlands classes are held on a Thursday.

Art Class @ Little Willows 29th November 2011

I held a taster art class in November which was very successful. Thank you to the seven people who joined the class. It was a beginners class on how to use brushes and basic painting techniques. More was achieved than expected. Most of you wanted to continue and do another class. I am Planning to do the next class in the new year.  This class may involve an easy landscape cottage garden project, mixing colours etc. All the techniques will be taught at a beginners level.

We are still deciding on dates for the next classes, they may be on the third Tuesday of every month next year starting in February, times being from 10am till 1pm. I will keep you updated on this. You are welcome to leave your comments below as to which dates you prefer or let me know what you thought about the first class. Thanks again for joining the class and also to Little Willows for the venue and organisation of the classes.
